Preparation
Remove all furniture that might obstruct access to the roof area. Ensure all vehicle wiring is safely relocated to avoid any damage during the process. Wrap the vehicle in protective material to prevent any incidental damage during the installation.
Cutting and Priming
Mark the area on the roof where the poptop will be installed and cut out the opening. After cutting, smooth out any sharp edges and apply a metal primer to prevent corrosion.
Installation of Components
Install the aluminium surrounds and bond them securely to the vehicle. Place the canvas receiver rail and horizontal structural supports at the front and back of the cut-out. Accurately mark the positions for the hinges and struts.
Install Poptop and Finish
Lower the poptop roof over the prepared opening and attach it using the pre-marked hinge and strut locations. Fit the canvas into the rail and ensure it is properly sealed to protect against the elements.

If your van has already been converted and you're considering adding a pop top, it's certainly feasible. We would need to either inspect the vehicle in person or view photos of the van’s interior and exterior to proceed with the installation. Get in touch with us here to get a personalised quote.
For vans that are already carpeted but not converted, you'll likely need to choose the Roof Area Carpeting option. This ensures that when the pop top is installed, the roof frame and metalwork are not left exposed, but are instead neatly trimmed and finished with carpet.
